Congratulations to Dr. Fung Fun Man!



We extend our warmest congratulations to our Ph.D. alumni, Dr. Fung Fun Man, for being the distinguished recipient of the Xilong Scientific-SNIC Industry Award in Chemistry Education 2021! Although the announcement was delayed until 2022 due to the pandemic, the honor is no less significant.


Dr. Fung Fun Man has made his mark as a respected Chemistry instructor at the National University of Singapore (NUS). His academic journey saw him conquering the realms of knowledge at NUS and the Technical University of Munich, where he earned his post-graduate degrees.


Dr. Fung wears many hats with grace and expertise. He represents Singapore at the IUPAC Committee on Chemical Education, bringing the nation's perspective to an international platform. His wisdom and insights are also valued at the Journal of Chemical Education, ACS Publications, where he serves on the Editorial Advisory Board. His leadership skills shone brightly when he was elected to the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) steering committee for two terms from 2014 to 2018. Following this, he served as the elected secretary of the International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN) from 2019 to 2021. Adding another feather to his cap, Dr. Fung was honored with the IUPAC Periodic Table of Younger Chemists award (Fluorine). These achievements further solidify his standing in the chemistry community. Here's to his continued success and contributions to the world of chemistry!
